President's Message

As the world was in lock down, our goal was to keep our community sustained and involved, while also dealing with the emotional and financial impacts of COVID.
Jeff Lipson, President GRJC

As a community, we were able to keep our Nursery and Hebrew School students engaged, held services and bar and bat mitzvahs via Zoom, arranged vaccine appointments for our seniors, donated hundreds of bags of food and overall kept our community safe.

Since the pandemic, we have had a remarkable couple of years. We continued to provide opportunities for our community members to get together and re-connect in person through experiences, such as Shabbat services, holiday celebrations, b'nei mitzvah, Gala events, Comedy Night and so much more.

We cannot do what we do without all of you.

As we head into 5784, we look forward to a new beginning, and I would like to share this quote as an inspiration for the year ahead:

“Do not wait until the conditions are perfect to begin. Beginning makes the conditions perfect.” – Alan Cohen

I send a huge thank you to our dedicated trustees, Rabbi Schlosberg, staff and volunteers for all they have done to get us to this moment, and to you, our GRJC members, who have generously supported us emotionally and financially.

We are here for you - if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. Call, email or "like" us on Facebook and Instagram.

It feels more important than ever for our community to face our new challenges together, and I look forward to seeing all of you again soon.

L'shalom,
Jeff Lipson
