Adult Enrichment

The Adult Enrichment Committee was formed to meet the educational, spiritual and social needs of the GRJC adult community.

Any member, age 21 and over, is encouraged and welcome to join us.  The Committee does its best to provide various programming throughout the year targeted to the numerous interests of our broad congregation.  We focus on special events, such as Broadway plays, museum visits, walking tours, speakers of interest, game nights, social interest classes and more.

Adult Enrichment program participants on a walking tour in the Lower East Side of Manhattan

Our first program, in May, 2019, was a trip to an evening performance of the Yiddish production of Fiddler on the Roof, directed by Joel Grey off Broadway. 25+ people saw a truly wonderful production preceded by dinner at a kosher deli in midtown.

In early October 2019, 25 Temple members and guests traveled to the Lower East Side for a richly informative tour, led by Marty Schneit, a historian specializing in Jewish and NYC history.

A trip to tour the acclaimed Auschwitz exhibit at the Museum of Jewish Cultural Heritage, planned originally for early March 2020, will be rescheduled.

Suggestions on potential events and activities are always welcome. Please contact Brad Londy or Karen Ryan with your ideas.
